At the age of four, Jalen wanted to join a book club, after doing extensive research his mother found that there were no book clubs available for his age at the time. So they decided to start one, it began in their apartment and later branched out to their local library to accommodate the amount of children that were interested in participating.  2016 will be their third year hosting their kids' book club at the library.

In 2014, Jalen had the desire to help less fortunate children and he did so by hosting his first annual back-to-school backpack and supply drive for a local homeless shelter. With the help of family and friends Jalen gave backpacks to nearly 50 kids!

March 2015, Jalen took an interest in blogging and began

Zoom into summer 2016, Jalen took a course to gain knowledge on the best ways to start a lemonade stand business. After completion of this course, he decided that he wanted to start his own bakery instead. His goal was to own a house, get a dog, add to his savings for college, continue to give back to the community and to learn and live the life of a young entrepreneur.
